Joy Like A Fountain

I think that Caitlin, my two year old, has joy like a fountain. Don't get me wrong, she can be grumpy and she can pitch a pretty good fit (usually when I am on the phone)--but, the simplest things seem to bring her joy. When she finds a toy that she hasn't seen in a while, when I give her something to eat that she knows she will like, when she gets to wear her new crocs, or yes, when she gets her pacifier, she actually flat out giggles. It is like the joy just bubbles out--like a fountain.

There are days like today when I am worried or sad that her giggles serve as a reminder for me. They remind me that I also have joy like a fountain because "In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his Holy Name."--Psalm 34:21
