What We've Been Up To

Well, it's been awhile! I love the Fall, but it definitely brings busyness. Here is some of what we have been up to.

1. BSF--The girls and I are involved in Bible Study Fellowship and we love it. I have found BSF to be a great way to study the Bible. I believe that some of my biggest jumps in Spiritual growth have come my study of the Bible in BSF. The girls learn so much also. They come home telling Bible stories, saying their Bible Words and singing wonderful songs. They just love it and they wouldn't miss it for the world.

2. Jesus the One and Only--I am also doing Beth Moore's Jesus the One and Only with my women's group at church. This is the second time I have done this study, but of course, the Holy Spirit is teaching me new things this time around.

3. Walk to Emmaus--The Walk to Emmaus is a 72 hour Spiritual Renewal Program. I had known many people who had done the Walk in the past and they always came back with the glow of God's love. I knew I wanted to go, but was waiting for my girls to be a little bit older. John went on October 4th and I went on October 11th. I am not very good at being away from home and was worried about leaving the girls for that long, but everyone did great. Someone must have been praying for us. It was an awesome experience and I definitely felt renewed in the Holy Spirit.

4. School and Mommy time--Emma still loves school. She is constantly coloring and practicing her letters. She even got to stay for lunch one day. When I picked her up, she asked if she could stay for nap time too. Caitlin and I get some one on one time while Emma is at school. She always wants to play in her room with her toys. Caitlin and I also make it a date to go to story time at the library.

5. Football--Yes, Saturday is still football day at our house. What a weird year in college football. We are still avid Oklahoma fans. The girls still call our Sooners the "Go, Go's" because that's what they hear coming from Mommy and Daddy. Emma doesn't know who to cheer for since Adrian Peterson is gone, but she is starting to like Sam Bradford. She still wears her Adrian Peterson "teamer shirt", or jersey to the rest of us. By the way, Johnny missed the OU/Texas game to go on the Walk to Emmaus.

I hope that I have settled into our new schedule and routine enough to keep up with this blog now. I am adding some links from some of our activities that you might be interested in.
Talk to you soon.
