Papa and the Dr. Pepper Guy

Everyone who knows us knows that on Saturdays we watch Oklahoma Football. And if you watch any college football at all, you have seen the Dr. Pepper commercial with the guy doing the end zone dance. You can watch it here. This commercial gets Emma's attention every time. She says: "There's the commercial with the guy that looks like Papa." You be the judge:




Not exactly a striking resemblance! But Oh, how it makes my heart smile! I believe that there are two possible reasons that Emma sees a resemblance between this Dr. Pepper guy and her Papa.

1. In her young innocence, she just doesn't see age or race (she just sees bald heads!)

2. She is recognizing something on the inside of these two men that makes them resemble each other. You see, my Dad, Emma's Papa, is just as funny, happy and silly as the the guy in this commercial.

Either way, I want to see people just like she sees them. After all, that is the way our Father sees us.
