Happy Birthday Grandma/Sally

Today is my Mother-in-Law's Birthday. Emma answered a few questions for me.

How old is Grandma?
32

What is Grandma's favorite food?
I think it's a banana.

What is Grandma's favorite color?
gray

What kind of Birthday party should Grandma have?
Maybe just a regular birthday. Definitely not a High School Musical party

What does Grandma like to do?
I think she likes to clean up.

What do you think Grandma wants for her birthday?
Maybe a new tea cup or a tea pot.

If you could give Grandma anything for her birthday, what would it be?
A hug!

Happy Birthday, Sally. We love you.
Amy

Christmas and Valentine's

I love this picture of my girls. A good friend took it on Christmas Eve. I hope they keep this same sense of wonder at the birth of Christ every Christmas. It is also the only picture I had of my girls in their Christmas dresses. After the Christmas Eve service, we ate our traditional Christmas Eve chili dinner with my parents, brother and sister-in-law and some good friends at my parent's home. It was a joyful time and I guess we were enjoying each other so much that I just didn't take any pictures. Well, needless to say, the girls were exhausted from all of the excitement and fell asleep on the way home. So, no pictures then either. The girls didn't even know what their Christmas pajamas looked like until Christmas morning. I had to change their clothes while they slept. We didn't even have our usual Christmas portrait taken of the girls this year-somehow time got away.

Well, my husband knew that I missed having more pictures of them in their Christmas dresses. So, while I was away at a retreat a couple of weeks ago, they worked on a little Valentine's Day surprise. He got them dressed in their dresses, tights, patent leather shoes and even did their hair.--Impressive! Then they had a photo shoot in our dining room. He told me he even laid a lamp down on the dining room table for special lighting. What a sweet and thoughtful gift! Here are a few of the pictures:
